What Are We Trying to Accomplish?
For non-purchase order backed invoices that require approval, SourceDay is unrolling a new Approval Process feature in our Invoice Automation Platform. Users identified as a member of an approval group will be notified via email when an invoice is ready for review. Approval groups members will review the Non-PO invoice and either approve or reject the invoice.
How Do I Review Non-PO Invoices for Approval?
Invoices ready for review will be on the Non-PO tab with the status of Seeking Approval.
Pro-Tip - By setting the status filter to "Seeking Approval" and toggling on the "Where I'm the Approver" button, you can quickly get to a limited results set to see only items currently needing your approval.
1. Click on the lightning bolt on the invoice line you are ready to review to open the Action Menu and
select Review Invoice.
2. Review the Invoice and select Approve Invoice or Reject Invoice. Approved Invoices will be ready to submit to the ERP and Rejected Invoices will be sent back to the Account to edit. You must provide a reason for the rejection in the open text box.
3. Once Approved, you or the accountant can select to submit this invoice to the ERP for payment. This action will be available from the Action Menu. Alternatively, you may also select Cancel Approval Process if an error was made. *Note: If you are part of a Chain of Approval then all approvers must approve the invoice before it can be submitted for approval.
