There are many reasons why you might decline an invitation to bid, but it's good to know your options. First off, if you are only missing a portion of the items in the request, you can always choose to no quote that line item instead of declining the request as a whole. If you truly want to decline the entire request, this section will walk you through that process.
Decline allows suppliers to decline to submit a bid to a request they have been invited to. This will notify your buyer and you will no longer be able to apply to the request. You cannot retract a decline, so please make sure that you are sure you want to decline.
Declining a Request to Bid
1) From the request dashboard, click on the title of the request that you would like to decline
2) On the top left of the page you will see a decline button, click that button
3) Provide a reason to your buyer for why you are declining the request
4) Click the Decline button to send your reason and the decline notification to your buyer
You can also click the Decline button while bidding on a request if you have changed your mind and you no longer want to submit a bid on that request.
