What Are We Trying to Accomplish?
The advanced search, as you might expect, is a little more detailed than the easy search. Advanced Search enables buyers and suppliers to utilize multiple purchase order fields and data points to produce customized search results. You will be able to select from standard SourceDay fields as well as customized fields added and enabled for specific customers and integrations. Advanced search is available for every tab under the Purchase Orders section.
Pro Tip: The results of your Advanced Search will be saved. Unless you clear the search, each time you open SourceDay the results of the advanced search will be displayed. Be sure to clear your search parameters from the Advanced Search menu if this is not your preference.
Where Can I See It?
The advanced search is located on the right hand side of the page, just above the PO table. As you can see there are a lot of options to search by and you are able to hone in on information even if you have incomplete information to work with.
How Do I Do It?
Creating a New Search
1) Click the Advanced Search button in between the Export dropdown and the Search box. The red dot will indicate how many columns you are currently searching by.
2) Once you click the link the Advanced Search flyout screen will appear on the left side
3) Click in the box below Add Column to view the dropdown list of searchable fields
4) Click on the field name to add the field to your search criteria
5) Selected field names will appear in the Add Column box once they have been added
- Click the x next to the field name to remove that field from your search
6) Click the Submit button to run the search with your current search criteria
Clearing the Search
Click the Clear link at the top of the Advanced Search screen to clear your current search criteria
What Can I Do?
Term Search - The open search field at the top of the Advanced Window will allow you to type in a key term to be included with your selected search criteria
Search By Date Fields - Date field searches will allow you to customize date spans and filter blank dates. This search will be specific to the date field you have selected. This example is searching the Due Date field.
A) Blank Dates
- Click the dropdown list to select either Include, Exclude, or Only
- This will control if the search displays orders with blank dates
B) Within The Last
- Click the dropdown on the right to select either Days, Weeks, Months, or Years
- Type in the number that corresponds with the time you selected from the dropdown
C) Between
- Click the date field window to select the date range you would like to search between
- Click the x next to the date range to clear
Search By Quantity Fields
Quantity field searches will allow you to search between ranges or greater than/less than/equal to values. This search will be specific to the quantity field you have selected. This example is searching the Qty Ordered field.
A) Greater Than/Less Than/Equal To
- Click the dropdown list to select either Greater Than, Less Than, or Equal To
- Type in the number that corresponds with the metric you selected from the dropdown
B) Between
- Type in the two quantities you want to search between
Column Dropdown Fields
Dropdown field searches will allow you to select one or multiple options from a dropdown menu. This search will be specific to the field you have selected. This example is searching the Order Status field.
- Click in the box below the field name to view the dropdown list
- Click one or multiple options to add them to the search
Toggle Fields
Toggle field searches will allow you to toggle an order status on or off. This search will be specific to the field you have selected. This example is searching the Hot status field.
- Click the grey toggle to flip the toggle to blue which will enable that search
