What Are We Trying to Accomplish?
When Root Cause is enabled, your Suppliers will be required to select a reason from the list you customize when they are proposing a change or cancellation. Admins with the Buyer Company can enable/disable reasons, add a custom reason, or edit the code associated with the reason. Below is a picture of the pre-populated reasons that will be available once this feature is turned on by our Support Team. Remember to enable this feature please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How Do I Do It?
Admins will have access to Root Cause under their Account Settings (under their name). From there, they can easily turn reasons on or off using the blue toggle. Or you can add a custom reason using the blue Add Custom Reason button at the top of the list.
Edit Root Cause Code
Simply click on the existing code to open a text box. Enter your new code there.
That’s it! Now your Suppliers will be required to submit one of these reasons whenever they propose a change or cancellation. The Root Cause will be added as the last note on the PO Line and will be included in the export of the Updates Tab.
