The Mission
When you are starting off with PO Collaboration as a supplier it can take some time to get oriented on when to perform different actions and where to perform them. A lot of this will depend on your current processes with your buyers and how you work on POs together. In this section we will walk you through the benefits of the different areas, and what we have learned from suppliers just like you as to when you might see benefits from working in one view versus another.
Working From The Tasks View
The tasks view is a great way to only see PO lines that need to be acted on. Also, if you are a supplier that typically needs to view and review POs line by line this view lets you quickly toggle through and see the details for each line. This is a great way for new users to get acquainted with the different actions available in SourceDay, and will help you to go from beginner to advanced user in no time. From this view you will be able to see:
- New PO lines coming in (Pending)
- POs where the buyers have requested updates (Updates)
- POs that are late and need action (Late)
- POs that coming due and need actions soon (Radar)
- POs that the buyer is concerned about (Hot)
Working From The Purchase Order View
The PO Dashboard or Table is a great way to see all of the POs that you are currently working on or have worked on with your buyers. If you are typically able to look at and respond to your PO lines in bulk without needing to review the PO lines in depth, the purchase order table view will allow you to take bulk action on multiple PO lines at one time. You will also have access to advanced sorting and filtering from this view in order to see PO lines based on buyer, companies, item, as well as most of the columns available in the view. You can see the details on the items that need a deeper look while still allowing you to take advantage of bulk actions. In this view you will be able to see:
- POs where the buyers have requested updates (Updates)
- Messages / Conversations that need your attention (Messages)
- PO lines where you have requested changes but have not yet been addressed by your buyers (Awaiting Response)
- New PO lines coming in (Pending)
- All PO lines that are active and not completed with your buyers (All Open)
- POs that are late and need action (Late)
- POs that are coming due and need actions soon (Radar)
- POs that the buyer is concerned about (Hot)
- POs that have shipped (Shipped)
- PO that have been set as complete by your buyer (Completed)
