The Mission
Before You Get Started: The Quality product is no longer being actively developed or supported by SourceDay. However, existing customers are able to request the ability to use Quality, until it is sunset, at no cost. At this point there is no planned end of life for date this product. We will not make any modifications to the software and support may be limited to core functionality.
That said, Quality is a pretty nifty tool and can help ensure that, as the Buyer, you get the important information you need in order to ensure that you are buying from Suppliers that deliver what you expect, every time. Sometimes it can be tempting to want to determine a Supplier based solely on price, but Quality gives you the data to back up using a dependable and maybe more expensive Supplier versus a less expensive Supplier that causes other costs to accumulate (postponements in manufacturing due to damaged or incorrect inventory, shipping and receiving resources needed to re-box and ship back defective items...).
Let's take a look at how the SourceDay products work together to provide you with an enhanced buying experience.
Quality's purpose is to help you identify and log any quality issues with inventory when it is received, taking the burden off of your memory to remember one inventory experience out of the hundreds of items you deal with buying every day. Or worse yet, defects you don't even know about until it's too late. Then, during the RFQ process, you can view your Supplier Performance in order to quickly see a score for:
- On Time Delivery
- Responsiveness
- Price Variance
- Quality
You are able to export data from Quality, but you will not be able to write data from Quality directly into your ERP.
