Data in DaaS follows a hierarchical structure meant to maintain modularity for more flexible analysis. The higher up a schema is in the hierarchy the more assumptions have been made to try and drive action; these assumptions are made based on industry best practice or what we have seen most of our customers adopting. Although we encourage change management to comply with SourceDay assumptions, the power of DaaS is the ability to make your own calculations to best serve your business needs.
| Schema | Description | Example Tables |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Entities | Raw transactional data synced from ERP and SourceDay activity. | po_lines, suppliers |
| Metrics | Performance definitions tied to a specific date or event. | on_time_delivery, buyer_performance |
| Functional Tables | Pre-aggregated views and weighted metrics for action. | supplier_scorecard, item_risk |
