Let's get started with SCRs (Supplier Component Reviews). You will receive an SCR is an item that you have shipped to a buyer has failed inspection. You will receive a notice that an SCR has been created and when you go to your Quality section you will see a new SCR on the "Updated", "Pending", and "Open" tabs. (this is not 3 separate SCRs, it is 1)
Let's Discuss what actions you will take in each of these tabs:
- Updated - These are SCRs that have an action needed from you. It will only appear in this tab until it is viewed, after that it moves to the "pending" tab
- Pending - These are SCRs that have either been viewed or are in progress
- Open - These are all open SCRs
- Completed - These are all completed SCRs
Available actions
Once a buyer has created or responded to an SCR you will see a new item appear in your updates tab. You will have the following options available:
- View/Comment - View or comment on the SCR, once the item has been viewed it will move from the "Updated" tab to the "Pending" tab
- Edit - Edit the return and shipping fields for the SCR
- Mark as Shipped - This is the equivalent of vendor complete - it means the return order has been shipped and the vendor is ready to close out the SCR.
