Powered by SourceDay Intelligence, the predicted item lead time report is a powerful list to help procurement teams enhance ERP data accuracy. This report lists expected lead times for your items based on historical performance (past 12 months) and flags items that consistently arrive outside of their expected date.
This report can help you update your lead times within your ERP, ensuring that POs issued have an accurate expected delivery date. Accurate data is foundational to effective decision-making. Inaccurate inventory counts can lead to stockouts or overstock situations, both of which hurt the bottom line. Mistakes in BOMs (Bills of Materials) or routing information can disrupt production schedules and delay order fulfillment. By improving data accuracy, manufacturers can ensure smoother operations, optimize resource allocation, and minimize costly errors.
Report overview
The report lists your ordered items and compares two important date ranges.
1. The average number of days based on all the orders for that item from when the PO is issued to a supplier (pending) and when the expected date.
2. The average number of days between when the PO is issued (pending) and when the orders are received.
Then based on the historical receipt data, SourceDay Intelligence will predict an accurate range between date of issue (pending) and delivery. If the actual delivery consistently falls outside of the predicted lead time then the item will be flagged with an Item Risk of early or late.
