Why On-Time Delivery?
After much research with current clients this was the North Star metric that surfaced. We know that OTD has far reaching impacts from revenue protection to avoiding production stoppages. Closely monitoring OTD enables you to craft interventions where needed, build business resilience, and ensure your team is doing all that you can to monitor and improve this important indicator.
Overall On-Time Delivery
The email opens with review of on time delivery for PO lines that have been received and closed within your ERP. This graph will show your current On-time delivery performance, how that has changed since the last report, a rolling average over the past few months, and even a benchmark against other SourceDay customers in your given industry.
On-Time Delivery by Supplier
OTD for the last two weeks is listed by supplier and further filtered by top and low performance. Engagement is included as an additional insight for each supplier to connect a potential cause of OTD performance. Engagement is a measure of how often suppliers actively collaborate on POs through actions including: acknowledge or accept new lines and buyer changes, propose changes or download the PDFs – whether suppliers login to the platform or not. Both current performance and how it has changed since the last Success Report are included.
Note on sorting: top and low rankings are based on an average of OTD during the time period and weighted by volume. So high volume suppliers are more likely to show up in both top and bottom rankings, keeping your report focused on suppliers with more impact to your business.
On-Time Delivery by Buyer
We can also look at the on-time delivery performance by Buyer, along with Buyer engagement. Engagement is similar to supplier engagement: a measure of how often buyers are actively collaborating on POs that require their attention. This will again include the current performance and how it has changed since the last Success Report. Note on the listings: Buyers are listed in order of volume and an average of OTD during the time period.

These metrics help team leads understand how from a big picture their overall PO Collaboration and drill down to specific OTD performance. Timely updates and data reviews can help teams make effective decisions and interventions early.
