For NetSuite customers, SourceDay can write shipment details back to NetSuite by creating Inbound Shipment records and Item Fulfillment records for Drop Ship purchase orders. This integration enables suppliers and buyers to collaborate on shipping activity directly within SourceDay while maintaining accurate shipment records in NetSuite.
Inbound Shipments
SourceDay can sync Advance Shipping Notice (ASN) information and shipment details to NetSuite's Inbound Shipment Management feature.
Note: This functionality requires additional configuration during implementation. SourceDay's Integration Team will work with your logistics team to determine how shipment information should be captured and synchronized with NetSuite.
Limitations
The following NetSuite limitations apply:
- NetSuite supports only one shipment line per purchase order line.
- Suppliers cannot create multiple handling units for the same purchase order line within a single shipment.
Item Fulfillment for Drop Ship Purchase Orders
Using the standard ASN process in SourceDay, suppliers can enter shipping details for Drop Ship purchase orders. These shipment details are displayed in both the buyer and supplier Shipment Dashboards and can also be written back to NetSuite as Item Fulfillment records.
With this integration, suppliers can:
- Create, edit, and delete Item Fulfillment records for Drop Ship purchase order lines.
- Create multiple Item Fulfillment records for the same Drop Ship purchase order line when partial shipments occur.
Shipment Template Requirements
If your company uses both NetSuite Inbound Shipments and Item Fulfillment functionality, you may need to update your SourceDay Shipment Template.
Updating the Shipment Template ensures that shipment information is captured in the correct location and synchronized properly with NetSuite. Changes to the template may affect:
- Which shipment details suppliers are required to provide
- Whether information is entered at the shipment header level or shipment line level
