The PO Dashboard helps you manage purchase orders (POs) by letting you filter and display only the ones that matter to you. Filters can be saved under My Views, so you can return to them quickly.
| If you’d like to see only your own POs across all views, check out the My POs feature. |
Recent improvements
SourceDay now supports additional filter options for text (string)-based fields — making it easier than ever to locate, review, and automate your POs:
Contains — find POs where a text field contains specific characters or words.
Is empty — show POs where a text field has no value.
Is not empty — show POs where a text field does have a value.
These options appear alongside existing filter types so you can combine string-based criteria with quick filters and numeric or date filters for even more precise searches.
What are filters?
Filters let you narrow down your PO list by applying rules based on order attributes (like supplier, status, due date, and more) to create a custom view of your POs.
When you apply filters, you can:
Save the configuration under My Views for frequent reuse
Export the result for further analysis or reporting
Revisit or update the filter at any time
⚠️ Unsaved changes: If you adjust filters in an existing view (for example via the advanced filter menu or by removing filter “chips”), you’ll see an Unsaved changes button. Use this to save your edits — or discard if you don’t want to persist them.
How to build a filter
From any PO Dashboard view, click the Filters button to open the filter panel.
Either choose an existing “quick filter” or click + Add another filter to build a custom one.
Combine multiple filter rules (e.g. supplier, due date, status, text-field criteria) to zero in on exactly the POs you’re looking for.
Filter types
Access: Allows you to filter by suppliers collaborating on SourceDay or expand.
Quick filters: Pre-defined filters for common attributes like Supplier, Buyer, Order Status, Due Date, Site, Planner Name, Risk Type, and more.
Numeric or Date filters: For fields like cost, quantity or due date — supporting comparative operators (less than, greater than, between, etc.) as well as exact values and “is empty” where applicable.
String (text) filters: For any text-based PO fields (e.g. Ship-To Address, Job ID, Buyer/Supplier Name, Part Description, etc.). Use Contains, Is empty, or Is not empty to flexibly target POs based on partial text matches or missing data.
Access – filter by supplier
Select supplier access (you may need to scroll up in the filter window).
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| SourceDay suppliers | Suppliers collaborating through SourceDay |
| Uninvited ERP vendors | Vendors receiving POs from SourceDay but not collaborating on SourceDay |
| All | All vendors and suppliers within your organization |
Quick filters
Quick filters are ready-made options that make filtering easier. You can combine multiple quick filters and adjust them as needed.
| Filter type | How it works | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Supplier | Search by supplier name as it appears on the PO | “Supplier = Acme Manufacturing” |
| Buyer | Choose from buyers with open POs in your ERP | “Buyer = Amy Pohler” |
| Order status | Filter by PO lifecycle stage | “Status = Shipped” |
| Due date | Select a date range or a relative option | “Due in next 7 days” |
| Site | Filter by business location | “Site = Dallas plant” |
| Planner name | View POs for a specific planner | “Planner = Tina Fey” |
| Awaiting response | Show POs with pending supplier or buyer actions | “PO awaiting supplier confirmation” |
| Risk type | Highlight POs with issues like late delivery or proposed changes | “Risk = Late delivery” |
Numerical filters: dates, quantity, or costs
Numerical filters let you refine POs by dates, quantities, or costs. You can filter by exact values or create comparative ranges to quickly identify POs that need extra attention.
-
Comparative filter options updated for clarity:
Old terms: matches, at most, at least
New terms: matches, less than, less than or equal to, greater than, greater than or equal to
Date fields (e.g., due date, promise date)
| Option type | Available choices | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Exact | is on, between, before, after | “Due date is between Jan 1 and Jan 15” → shows POs due in that range |
| Comparative | matches today, within next X days | “Promise date is within next 7 days” → shows POs due this week |
Numerical fields (quantity and cost)
Remember these terms (at most, at least) will be replaced the terms listed below.
| Option type | Available choices | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Exact | between, greater than or equal to, less than or equal to, is empty | “Supplier cost is greater than $100” → shows POs where supplier proposed cost is above $100 |
| Comparative | matches, less than, less than or equal to, greater than, greater than or equal to | “Supplier cost is greater than cost plus $100” → shows POs where the supplier is proposing $100 more than the PO price |

Best practices for using filters
- Start simple: Begin with one or two filters (e.g., supplier + due date). Add more only if needed.
- Save common views: If you reuse a setup, save it under My Views for quick access.
- Use relative dates: Options like “next 7 days” keep your views relevant without manual updates.
- Check unsaved changes: Decide whether to save or discard edits when you see the Unsaved changes button.
- Review suggested views: Use these as templates instead of building from scratch.
