What you’ll do in SourceDay as a buyer
As a buyer, SourceDay becomes your control center for supplier communications and PO lifecycle management. Here's what you can expect to do:
1. Manage your PO dashboard
You'll have a personalized view of all your open POs, with views that categorize orders by status; such as "Pending", "Risks", "Late", "In Progress", or "Completed". Each status highlights where supplier action is needed or where buyer review is needed.
2. Review and respond to supplier changes
Suppliers may propose changes to quantity, pricing, or delivery dates. You'll receive notifications and can approve, reject, or suggest alternatives directly within the platform—no email threads required.
3. Set reminders and follow-ups
Buyers can configure automatic reminder emails to prompt suppliers to take action on open POs. You can also forward your notifications to teammates for coverage or collaboration.
4. Track supplier performance
With every interaction tracked, SourceDay makes it easy to review how suppliers perform against delivery dates, responsiveness, and commitments.
How SourceDay works with your ERP
SourceDay integrates with your ERP to keep PO data synchronized in both directions. When you create or update a PO in your ERP, it appears in SourceDay. When a supplier acknowledges or proposes a change through SourceDay, those updates can be automatically pushed back to your ERP - saving time and ensuring accuracy.
