To set up a new buyer, an Admin creates the account and assigns site access. The new buyer then signs in and completes the setup to link their purchase orders (POs) to their profile.
Who can use this feature? Only Admins can add or update buyer accounts and assign site access.
Create the buyer’s account
- Select your name dropdown in the upper-right corner.
- Select Account Settings.
- Select Manage Buyer Settings.
- Select Add New Member.
- Enter the new user's Name and Email.
- Choose the appropriate role: Member or Viewer.
- Select Add to create the account.
The new user will receive a welcome email as soon as their account is created.
Assign Site Access
After creating the account, an Admin must select which sites the new buyer can access. These permissions determine which sites' purchase orders the buyer can view.
- In Manage Buyer Settings, locate the new buyer.
- Select the checkbox under each site name the buyer needs access to.
- Review the selections to confirm that all required sites are selected. Leave the checkboxes cleared for sites the buyer should not access.
Complete your setup as a new buyer
Once your account is created, complete the following steps from your own SourceDay account.
Set your password and sign in
Open your welcome email and follow the instructions to create your password.
If you can’t find the email, visit the SourceDay login page and request a password reset. For more help, see Reset your password.
Link your purchase orders
Complete the API Integration setup to connect your purchase orders to your SourceDay profile.
- Select your name in the upper-right corner, then select Account Settings.
- Open API Integration.
- Enter your internal ERP Buyer Name.
- Select Submit.
For more details, see API Integration setup for new buyers.
Important: Each new buyer must complete API Integration setup from their own account. Creating the account and assigning site access do not complete this step.
